Hallo, ich versuche Text auf das Board zu bekommen. Der Text ist allerdings gespiegelt und horizontal spiegeln ändert nichts.
Gibt es dafür eine Möglichkeit
Translation to English:
“Hello, I’m trying to get text on the board. However, the text is mirrored and mirroring horizontally doesn’t change anything.
Is there a way to do this?”
You have placed the text on the Back Copper Layer. If you Flip (View → Flip Board View ) you will see the text correctly.
I tried this and could see the text correctly. However, I would like to see the text on the front side correctly. If I use the flip command the text seems to be moved to the right ). Even changing the layer does not change the write direction.
These examples are, top to bottom: Top Copper, Top Silk, Bottom Silk.
What is your OS and Kicad version?
thanks for your input, I think I got it.
- if I select b.silk in appearance first and then T plus Text, then Text will be put on bottom and appears on screen inverted, which makes sense, because it will be readable on the board, If I then change the layer of the text to F side then the text still looks inverted on the screen and also on the board).
Changing the layer from a back layer to a front one (or vice versa) doesn’t touch the reverse parameter of the text. You can change it with this button when changing layers. I guess the question is should we do this automatically…
Note that using the Flip command does change this.
Correct. This is because you used the properties tool to move the already existing text to a different side. Had you deleted the bottom layer text, then placed the text on the front side, it would not be mirrored.
