I have KiCAD on both of my two Laptops, and on one (the weaker one and the one I’m currently using) I can’t set the entire Software in Dark mode! The UI is completely bright and every time I open KiCAD I get Blinded! It works perfectly on my other Laptop, the one with ZorinOS! The Laptop with the problem has Kali Linux as OS, but I remember that it worked once, but with an older version of KiCAD! Hope someone can help me!
Are you using the same theme in both? Like KDE, Gnome, Whatever?
Last I remember Kali Linux focuses on things like penetration testing, security, etc. The ‘desktop experience’ isn’t high on their list. I’m not saying there isn’t an answer someone can come up with but I doubt few run that distro so help may be sparse. Windows is still the dominant OS for users here I think.
" The most advanced
Penetration Testing Distribution
Kali Linux is an open-source, Debian-based Linux distribution geared towards various information security tasks, such as Penetration Testing, Security Research, Computer Forensics and Reverse Engineering."
On the Kali Linux I use KDE, since I Installed It.
On the ZorinOS I use the Default, caused by Storage Problems(the Downloads and Documents folders are a REALLY BIG mess).
And that with the other thing: I know that, but I installed it cause it was the most impressive to me back then! And cause I wanted to learn Ethical Hacking, and Software’s for that are pre-installed in Kali! And the Laptop probably couldn’t handle the most other Linux Distribution’s, cause I have instead of a 1TB SSD a 1TB HDD! And by the way 16GB RAM at max.
