[SOLVED] Rotating footprint pads to custom angle

I hereby certify that I am not simply asking someone else to design a footprint for me.

I’m busy creating a footprint for a 8 pin mini din (male) that is PCB mounted. I’ve created lots of footprints before but this is a odd one in that some of the pads are at a (looks to be ) 22 degree angle.

Datasheet of the component:

I’ve created the following but there is only a 90 and 180 option on rotating pads.
On pcbnew there is a option to enter rotation angle, but nothing under footprint editor.

Any suggestions on how I can do this? (Running the latest 5.1.8 on Ubuntu)

You should be able to do this in the pad properties and these are available also in the footprint editor. (select the pad you want to change with left click then press hotkey “e” -> somewhere near the bottom left corner of the properties dialog there should be the pad angle)

The only options I see are for rotation, 0, 90, -90, 180

I think you can just enter any number if you click where the 90.0 is instead of when you click on the arrow. If not report this as a bug.

Ahh, perfect. Thanks, didn’t realise you could enter a number there.
