How are custom library footprints imported from v6 to v7. I copied my footprints from KiCad 6 footprints folder to KiCad 7 footprints folder but can’t access them from v7.
Footprints and symbols work the same way.
Open your footprint or symbol editor then:
File / Add library / Global / navigate to your personal library and highlight your library / Open and your library will now be available in 7.
Kicad needs to be told where your library lives… sometimes Kicad is not real smart
