Solved: Cannot copy between KiCad 7.02 instances in Ubuntu 20.04

Hello,

I was very surprised that you cannot copy some connectors between 2 different instances of KiCad 7.02 on Ubuntu 20.04. I have tried using right click menu also so i don’t miss click.

I have 2 different projects opened in 2 different instances. They use the same library.
I can copy in the same instance but between them it doesn’t connect.

Any good work around?
I used the import schematic feature so i managed to copy what i wanted. However it is messy if the other imported schematic is large.

EDIT:
I copied some sheets and they were copied without the content. And the content i was able to copy manually. It asked me to approve partial copying in both cases.

Sincerely Jimmie

Right click > Select > Copy from one project to Right click > Paste to another project works for me with both Schematic and PCB.

Kicad 7.0.5 and Ubuntu 22.04.

These are connectors in Kicad libraries or in personal libraries?

When i saw you had v 7.05 i checked my versions. One instance had v 7.02 and the other v 7.05 … So i had received an update since after starting KiCad 7.02. When i restarted all instances of KiCad a copy paste test seems to work without issue.
