[SOLVED] Bitmap to component exporter not working

I’m trying to create a pcb layout from a photo of a pcb. Imported the jpg file in the the bitmap converter and under greyscale I scan see the image. Then I select use layer eco1 and exported to kicad_mod.

The exported file only contains the following:

(module LOGO (layer F.Cu)
  (at 0 0)
 (fp_text reference "G***" (at 0 0) (layer F.SilkS) hide
  (effects (font (thickness 0.3)))
  )
  (fp_text value "LOGO" (at 0.75 0) (layer F.SilkS) hide
  (effects (font (thickness 0.3)))
  )
)

without the picture we can not really say anything :wink:

:slight_smile:

Just found the issue. Read another post where someone mentioned the background needs to be transparent. I thought mine was but redid it again in gimp and its now working.
