Hi,This is my experience, I installed kicad v8 and but when I entered it, the shapes and positions on the page were reversed, but the texts were displayed correctly.
In Prefrences>Set language, I changed the language from [ default ] to [ English ] and restarted the software and the problem was solved.
My operating system is Windows 10 and the keyboard and Windows language is English.
What page? Schematic? Are you able to post a screen image?
There were problems in all sectors,
Schematic,PCB,Symbol, 3D ,…
Unfortunately, I do not have a screenshot of the problem.
It seems that the problem is due to the incompatibility of kicad with some Windows date format settings
