I hereby certify that I am not simply asking someone else to design a footprint for me.
This is an auto-generated message that is in place on the “footprints” section of the KiCad.info forum. If I remove it and ask for a footprint to be designed anyway, I understand that I will be subject to forum members telling me to go design my own footprint or referring me to a 3rd party footprint site.
I am using a fiducial from the KiCad footprint library however I have noticed that when flipping the component to the bottom side the solder mask expansion is not kept. Is this a bug or do I need some specific setting? I exported the Gerber and checked separately and it is not just a display in kicad issue.
I suspect that the likelyhood of precise answers would go up if you were to give a little more information.
Perhaps specify which fiducial footprint, perhaps a screenshot or two to illustrate what happens?
You may try to install the latest v9.0-testing version.
note: For a useful output (==answer) it’s always good to provide good input. For most questions this requires to write at least the used kicad version.
In this special case I have (by chance) given a similar answer already yesterday, so I have just guessed your kicad version.
