i am using a laptop with an i7 processor with integrated graphics. I am finding the responsiveness very slow at Full HD. 4K is a distant dream. Does the program put that much strain on the graphics? I have full speed dual channel RAM
Which version of KiCad and what platform? It’s best if you go to Help->About KiCad and click on “Copy version info”, then paste that info here.
If, by chance, you’re on Linux with an ATI video card, there’s an interaction between the video driver and the hardware that is triggered by some versions of KiCad. If that’s the case, there is a fix involving setting an option in the Xorg configuration.
No it’s windows and the latest stable release in August. It’s intel graphics
