Since blocks don’t seem to be a thing anymore. . . why can’t I simply copy and paste selected items in the schematic. I’m relatively new to KiCAD, but I can’t find any answers on the internet as to why nothing happens when I try to paste (Cmd-C-Cmd-V, right-click or menu selections of copy and paste. . ) nothing seems to work. It doesn’t matter if I select a single symbol or select a group with wires. What am I missing? (version 9.0.0 on Mac)

I am using 8.08 where CTRL-C and CTRL-V ought to work.
I recommend going to preferences>preferences>hotkeys and type what you are looking for in the filter text to see whether copy and paste hotkey commands have been changed somehow.
I more tend to use duplicate CTRL-D

Duplicate does what I needed. So that solves my problem though it doesn’t exactly address why it doesn’t paste. It doesn’t seem to be a hotkey issue. But we’ll see if I end up with real copy and paste needs perhaps between pages in the near future. Thx
