Now when the KiCad project is in gitlab and bug reporting goes there, too, ordinary users may need gitlab account. This forum has github etc. as account options. Can gitlab added, too? The possibility of a new user not having any of the needed accounts is small, but some have complained because different account was needed for launchpad and the forum. Adding gitlab here sounds reasonable.

You can register with gitlab using github credentials (AFAIR there was a login with github right on the gitlab login page). That is what I did.
