Hey everyone,
I did a quick search to see if there’s already a similar topic, but only found old ones that don’t quite match.
The current state:
When I select two pads from different nets, it shows me the resolved clearance, as well as the actual clearance. When I select two pads on the same net, there is neither.
The problem:
No resolved clearance or clearance being 0mm in the same net makes sense to me. But I need know the actual clearance between any two selected pads/tracks, no matter if it’s on the same net or not. Currently I have to check it manually with the measure tool and even on a simple board that can be quite tedious and time consuming to be precise.
→ Is there a quick way to do this in the current version of KiCad 9? Am I missing something?
To my understanding, the calculation in the background would be the same, no matter if same net or different. It’s just the minimum distance between the two selected polygons.
→ Would it be a viable feature request to just include the actual clearance in the bottom bar, like two different net parts already have?
Thanks for your help!
