This is the problem with grid setup. You both have different settings.
How can I know the grid setup of his? By trial and error? By asking him? What if I added lots of additional circuit modules without connecting anything already exists, and then I needed to connect these two “huge” circuits? Which grid option should I select?
I’m sure he had a 1mils or 2mils grid setting.
Put some mark sign aligned to the 50mil grid. Switch to 1mil grid an realign your circuits to larger grid using block operations.
To capture schematic 50mil or 100mil should be used. Smaller grids are used for creating symbols in library editor or additional graphics.
In symbols my pins are always on 100mil grid.
And it’s not hard to stay at 100mil even in schematics.
But I always make an effort to keep my symbols small.
Like resistors, caps and everything is kept small in size.
Good to be able to fit into a A3 sheet with a decent amount of stuff.
