"Selectable from rightclick menu" obstructed / covered below stacked symbol elements lins[Solved(TLDR: Use long left click instead of short)]

Back in the day when you clicked on some element and it had other elements behind it that are below current one, a list of all the stacked elements would appear near the cursor that’d allow you to choose exactly what element you want in that obstruction stack without missing any that are hidden and buried.

Can it still be activated in kicad 8.99? did it get incompatible with current kicad framework?
Doesn’t it need to be adjusted to new code / be refined to work?

It seems essential for that as stacked and hidden but occupying elements are used in a lot of schematics and component symbol representation.

Still works for me . . . are you doing a “long” left click ?

I am not sure, but I think there was a time when a short click (sometimes?) brought up the disambiguation menu. I just verified that a long click works for me (KiCad V8.0.4) in the schematic, symbol, PCB and footprint editors. It is also used in some toolbars (the buttons with the flags) to set function of some of the buttons.

Yeah right back in the day that functionality worked by simple single short left mouse click and now I’ve been informed it was changed to “click hold drag release” aka as " “long” left click" mode thanks to you guys.
