Screen corruption in stable under Virtuabox, but not in nightly

Hi

I have installed KiCAD on a machine that is running Ubuntu as the host OS, with a Windows 10 installation running under VirtualBox. I know KiCAD could run natively in Ubuntu but those of us who know KiCAD don’t know Linux well enough to support it and vice-versa.

The nightly build works fine, but the stable build 5.1.6 results in the display being distorted/inverted. Does anyone know if there is a fix/workaround for this? And was it intentionally fixed in the nightly build or is it the effect of some other change?

Nightly build: kicad-r16084.f31139ac4-x86_64.exe
Stable build: 5.1.6
Windows 10 19041

You should check what the canvas_type is set to for both versions. They have seperate configs. Look in %appdata%/kicad.
