- Place a component onto the schematic sheet.
- Hover the mouse over it and type the letter e.
- If you try to write something into the “Value” column then the text dissapears and you cannot see what you’re writing; however, the text you wrote shows up if you click on another cell.
- Sometimes a right click lets you see what you’ve written.
That’s annoying when you try to write the actual component’s value!
That’s not ok, however a turnaround is to hover the mouse over the text you want to change while in the schematic sheet, and then a single window shows up and you can edit such field (designator, value, or footprint (if visible)).
I’m using Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.3
