if i overwrite a part in a project footprint library, i always get a “device-full error”… but effective there is no full disk and the part is updated in the library… so it seems to me like a bug:

The inotify watcher message reminded me of a similar (but not identical) thread on the forum here: 8.0: Unable to create inotify instance
the resolution was the user rebooting their computer. Might be worth a try?

i will try but the problem You suggested where err 24 “to many open files” while i see 28 “no space left”…
rebooting fixed the problem for me. thanks…
