Ripup all traces of a net within a zone with the same name

All ground routes on my bottom layer are no longer needed since I added a ground zone that covers the whole layer. How can I ripup/delete all routes only (not vias) for a given net on a given layer?

Some people like to explicitly route everything regardless of planes. They would ask “Why bother?” :wink: If you have ONLY ground on the bottom then you can chose to delete all tracks on that layer.

But again doing this is only cosmetic in the end.

EDIT: If you are comfortable with scripting the files are text based. You could find and delete track segments that way.

Well if you have thermals then having an additional trace enter the pad at 45° might be undesirable.

–edit– Sorry, I missed the part about only from a specific net. See bottom for a link to Orson’s talk about how to do this in scripting.

  1. Select the “High contrast mode” from the display toolbar on the right.
  2. Select the “B.Cu” layer from the Layers Manager
  3. Drag and select all items (this will only get items on B.Cu
  4. Right-click and “Select”->“Filter Selection”
  5. Uncheck everything except “Include tracks”
  6. press delete.

Here’s the scripting video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zVJ96SdYrs
