suddenly message “restoring session” show up every time any project i open. why this and what is this??

… I removed file in project with extension “.kicad_prl” and the thing disappear and project work without that message again. what is “.kicad_prl”?
thanks, but why is this file created? now when i removed this file it started normal the first time, then recreated a _prl file and the behaviour continued.
The description is explanatory:
Local settings for the current project; helps KiCad remember the last used settings such as layer visibility or selection filter. Does not need to be distributed with the project or put under version control.
why i ask is this never happened before when opening a kicad project. the behaviour is new (the popup message).
