Remove copper area from PCB (solved)

Hi guys. I received a PCB design and need to insert more components on the PCB. Is there a way to remove a large copper area connected to GND from PCB to open space and insert new components?

You clearly write that you received a design and not the real PCB. Open the design and place there new components. When pressing ‘b’ to recalculate GND fill it will automatically left free space for new footprints.
