Just a tip I learned recently. To reload all footprints in the layout from the library do RMB click on a footprint > “Properties” > “Change Footprint(s)” > ”Update all footprints on the board”

Do realize this will reset all field placements, value and reference fields will be reset to their placement in the library part.
