Eagle lost me when they went to their new monthly or annual pay scheme. Then got bought out.
I still had to make parts that weren’t in the library then and now with kicad I still do. No big deal.
My only problem is with the Y axis going positive in the down direction from the top left corner of the PCB page. I just put the board in the top left corner when I work on it and move it to the middle to print. Then I put it back in the corner to modify. (No mental calculations).
