Regarding writing the text on pcb

Hie everyone,

I am designing a PCB and i want to write some extra text on pcb which is not present in schematic.

So,

How can i write text on PCB and by using which layer should i write text ?
for example : F.silk, F.adhes etc…

f.silk is good candidate indeed

thankyou very much dude. So, i cannot use F.adhes right…!

Its purpose is for assembly, you may need to fix some components with glue before reflow and this layer shows where to dispense it.

Be careful, also, when you print your gerbers. There is a dialog box that gives you the opportunity to choose what gets printed in the gerber files. Be sure to check which items you want to print in the gerbers.
I made the mistake of not un-checking some of the items to prevent component values or labels. This caused the component labels to conflict with some other f.silks writing that I had wanted to print there and not the component labels.

Be sure to examine your gerbers very carefully using the gerb view tool.
