Regarding the orientation setting of modules on pcb

Hie every one,

I am designing a PCB where we need to use two microcontroller,

One Microcontroller in normal orientation and other microcontroller in 450(degree’s) orientation.

So, i changed the orientation of second microcontroller by using properties of module, entire module including text which belongs to that microcontroller is also changed.

So, my concern is, I want to the module to be in 450(degree’s) orientation but text regarding the microcontroller should be in normal orientation.

" How can i do that in KICAD software"

When I rotate the footprint, the text looks like this. I don’t think it has ever been different.

Or do you want this?

That you’ll have to do manually by editing the board file:

thq dude,

How can i open board file and how can i edit that file?

From where should i get this board file?

Take your text-editor of choice, the files are plain text.

You’re looking for the file ending with “kicad_pcb”, e.g. “best_thing_ever.kicad_pcb”. You should find it in the project folder. Make sure the pcb-editor is closed while editing the file.

dude, i did what you said but ultimately i am getting this error. how can i resolve it ?

Your KiCad version is ANCIENT!

Try one of these & we can talk.
