Recent Projects: History says 50 but I set it up for 60 :-/

Since I couldn’t see any longer my very last opened project, I setup the history to get 60 files instead of 50.

But I still get 50 files and I still don’t get the very last project I opened and worked in it.
Where am I wrong?

When I open Kicad

On the Recent Projects I see only 50 and never ever the very last one I worked with

This feature is done mostly inside wxWidgets. I’d guess that they have a fixed upper limit of 50.

What’s the point to fix at 50 and leave to us the option to go further?
And also
What’s the point do not show the real last opened project and nce you got the 50th you are scr**d up?
Instead of to facilitate ppl, are created impediments?

You’ll have to ask those questions of the wxWidgets developers.

Check that you have correct permissions to write in following locations:

• %APPDATA%\kicad\7.0\
• %APPDATA%\kicad\7.0\kicad.json

Also check that these aren’t on a remote drive.

Till the penultimate project it was working, hence the permissions I think there are. Am I wrong?

I ask here since I cannot hunt ppl around the web. Here is the point were us, as users, come to tell what’s wrong.

What is this “penultimate” project? Which version of KiCad was it created in? What’s the path to that project? Is it’s directory read-only? Does it have a .kicad_pro file?

The penultimate is the one called ESR Meter (in evidence above the blurred ones)
It was created with 6.0.x
The same HD of all the projects (right in evidence in the whole screenshot)
You see also the path: The same for all projects (each project has its owne folder)

But the VERY LAST one I worked int hese days, is NOT appearing, NOT considered, NOT popping up.
Same HD, same Subfolder (CAD_PROJECTS)

NOt any directory is read-only. It can’t be. No one put anything in Read-only.
YES there is a kicad PRO since it’s the one I do use to open the project (but it doesn’t appear on the list. I already said it)

What if you open some KiCad demo projects? Will they appear in the list? Will the last demo project open after restarting KiCad? What’s in the list?

I tried it once i read your hint. No, they don’t appear in the list.
I tired the ECC83 for instance. nothing. The “very last” in the list is the ESR Meter. Which I opened last time, 4 days ago

Can you zip up the %APPDATA%\kicad\7.0\ folder and PM it to me?
