Ratsnest doesn't display

I’ve recently updated to KiCad .07-e2-6376-58 on Ubuntu 16.04.
I’ve been trying to learn how to use the new routing/shoving capabilities. However I noticed that I can now longer display the rats nest in PCBnew whether I’m using default, OpenGL or Cairo,

Have I missed something (probably) or is there an issue?

Dave

Hi Andy,

I tried that before posting my question. No effect.

I also received this error massage “Not available in OpenGL/Cairo canvases.”

Under default nothing changed.

That message should be from clicking the “Display local ratsnest” on the right-side menu bar, 3rd one down.

I don’t have a solid answer for how to recover from this issue the few times it has happened to me. But, I suggest:

  1. Hit F9.
  2. On the right side menu bar, select the 2nd menu item, “Highlight nest”.
  3. Under the Render Tab, ensure the checkbox for “Ratsnest” is checked.

Note: the left-side menu bar also has an icon to click to show/hide the Ratsnest. However, the mouse over text changes, and could be a little confusing. Using the Render checkbox eliminates the mouse over text confusion.

I think I remember this vaguely when I switched from 4.xx to nightly. I believe I switched to legacy and back and it was suddenly there.

Thanks to Jim problem sorted. The ratsnest was unticked under the render
tab.

Whether I had unthinkingly done this or it was some oddity whilst
updating KiCad I don’t know.

cheers
