Probem changing footprint library

Hello,

I notice that there is a problem with the pcb editor when you do a modification in the footprint library. The point is that I had a component in my library named SOP8 after delete the componet somehow information related with SOP8 was in the file .kicad_pdb and was generating errors for reading the netlist.

How is possible to add/remove components in a footprint library that is used without starting again the pcbnew?

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply

One more option to get the footprints updated:
Rightclick on a footprint and select ‘Footprint Properties’ or hover over it and use [E], then click on the button ‘Change Footprint(s)’… this way you can change just one, all similar or even all footprints on the pcb you’re working on as reading in the netlist resets the individual placement of footprint values and references.
