Hi,
I’m using Windows 10 22H2 / 64bit and Kicad 7.05. When i print a schematic
on my HP Color Laserjet (MFP477 - PCL6) the upper part of the schematic is cut off and there is an additinal vertical line in the printout. The preview looks ok, as well a printing to PDF. Printing in Version 7.0 was ok also.
Yes, size = A4, orientation = landscape, margins = 0 mm
Check your settings for you printer. To me, the fact KiCad prints a PDF OK shows its internal scaling and printing mechanism is working. I’ve had the same sort of issue with my Kyocera only to find I’d set custom margin and scalw to print from another program - which I’d forgotten to reset.
Check in your Windows printer defaults. This sort of thing happens when you are set to US Letter
Thanx for your tips. I set the orientation to landscape (was portrait) in the printer settings and the printout was correct now. I thought, the orientation settings from the kicad page setting applies to printing.
I would expect not to have to do that. Landscape /Portrait is normally automatic
Trying this on Ubuntu 23.04 with a Canon LBP6030, I lose the right hand side of the drawing box. The whole thing is shifted right.
edit Plotting and printing the PDF works fne
