With Eeschema, when i want to print, the printer status is idle and a blank page is obtained.
Does a print preview show a blank result too? What version & OS are you running?
FWIW I just printed from eschema to a PDF and it was perfect. I’m on build BZR5410 with Windows 7 64bit.

A print preview is correct. The version & OS I am running is ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

Printing is notoriously bad in Kicad, the best workaround is to export to PDF first and print that instead.
With kicad it is possible to print to a postscript file (*.ps).
But I did not find the right application to open and print this file.
Apparently print doesn’t work from Eeschema, but menu>file>plot works for PS or PDF files. I did not test for other type of outputs.
I am on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, using Kicad 2013-jul-07-stable
