Pre-populating Company/Comments on page settings?

Running 8.0.5 on Ubuntu and wondering if there is a way to pre-populate (or set this as a default somewhere) certain fields when starting new projects.

For example when I start a new PCB I would like the revision to be 1.0, Company name set and Comment9 to be JLCJLCJLCJLC (This is used as a variable on the silkscreen layer so JLC will place the order number reference where they find this tag)

I know it doesn’t take long to type this in when creating a new project but it would be nice to get this pre-populated.

I’ve had a look around the forums and didn’t find a answer so thinking it’s probably not possible without some scripting. May a FR then?

I use a personalized pre-compiled template project with all the bells and whistles already in place,
names, user variables, constrains etc…

When i need to start a new design i do ‘New project from template’ and all the usual stuff is already there.

Thanks very much. I’ve been using KiCad all these years. How did I not know about the templates :smiley:
