Possible Bug in KiCad 7.02, zoom-Buttons in PCB editor

Hi, it seems to me the two icons for panning are switched in the PCB editor.
In the schematic editor icons are as always.

There are two Symbols: One zooms the whole page (including the frame), there is a small page inside a magnifier.
The other one zooms only the objects, there is a small landscape inside a magnifier.

has anybody else noticed this ?

Lol ! yes they are I wouldn’t have noticed if you hadn’t pointed it out, on that note I clicked the magnifying glass with the pointer inside it and the cursor changes but it doesn’t do anything but maybe I’m using it wrong but it is supposed to zoom ! :upside_down_face:
:mouse:

That’s the Zoom to selection. It didn’t do anything for me at first but then I realised it’s a toggle. After turning it on you can then draw a region and it will zoom to that region. Very handy in conjunction with the Home key for inspecting chosen areas. Why didn’t I try it before this? I will be using it more often.

Seems to me they work the same way in both editors.

In the schematic editor, Zoom to page shows everything on the page, including the title block, while Zoom to objects only shows the symbols.

In the PCB edtor, Zoom to page shows everything on the page, including dimension objects (but not the title block), while Zoom to objects I think shows only the footprints (and maybe the edge cuts?) on the board, since dimension objects are in the User Drawings layer, and don’t generate any manufacturing output.

Whether the landscape icon conveys the idea of “objects” can be debated.

@mousey is not alone!
I’d never noticed five magnifiers before :woozy_face:, always been content with scroll wheel.
I must explore more often :frowning_face:
