Coming from the world of Orcad I have several questions which I could not find reference to regarding graphical elements within the schematic.
I refer to drawing directly into the schematic and not the component editor.
If I understand correctly you can only draw straight lines - there is no tool for circles for example. Is my observation correct?
Could not find a way to change the appearance of the line - always blue, dashed and at a certain width - is it possible to change this?
Since this is a graphical element you typically use it for different “non circuit” purposes.
For example, you may want to show on the same drawing a frame as a bold solid line and another frame as a thin dashed line etc.
I agree this is not critical, but as said I used Orcad till now and over there the graphic elements are much more flexible (both in the schematics and the component editor).
Apart from lines you also place text and import images in different pixel formats.
And as you have already found out, in the “Part Library Editor” you can also draw circles, arcs and Pies (Arc with foreground color) and you can change line widhts (But not color?)
As an easy hack you can create a symbol (without pins) in the Part Library Editor, and then place that symbol in your schematic.
