Poll in GoogleDoc: Which version of KiCad are you using?

The reason I am doing this is because I am planning to host some workshops in the future. Instead of going through the painful process of assisting all participants in compiling their own version or dealing with multiple versions in one workshop I want to build a virtual linux machine for everybody to use in virtualbox.

We could also repeat this on a bimonthly bases and post a recommendation on the website.

Thanks for helping! Comments and suggestions appreciated

Filled it out, you should do it as a form next time (or maybe you meant to link the form?). That way people can’t overwrite the existing results.

Wow! BZR4004!

Thx! So far not two are using the same version

I left the document open like that because I expected no one here to be trolling it and wanted everybody to see the results.

Cheers

Sorry

Cannot access gdocs from where I am now (stupid firewalls).

my info would be:

Dolganoff; BZR4019; Windows7/64;;Stable release, still use it for older projects
Dolganoff; BZR5057; Windows7/64;;built by winbuilder 3.4: test-driving it on new projects not yet in “production”

I thank the person who was kind enough to put my info into the doc on my behalf

Now that I am home, I can make the update here too, just finished the last build (with the winbuilder), and my current version is now 5059

It would be nice to know the different versions there are available and the improvements that have been made to the software I find the software hard to learn as the version I am using and when I look at the version it was made in 2013 so there must be improvements since then.

So a list would be good then perhaps when a comment is made just add the v number to the comment so that everyone knows the version being used.
