Plot: where are the silkscreen checkboxes?

Hi,

I annexed a screenshot of the plot window of my KiCAD version 6.0.2.
Why are there no silkscreen checkboxes?

May be they are excluded from project (Board Setup).

also as a note: you use a very old version of kicad (more then 2 years old) and not even the latest in the v6 iteration. there were 9 bugfix releases afterwards, so could be you run in a bug which got already solved, so it is highly recommended to update at least to the latest bugfix version (6.0.11). If you don’t want to switch to the latest version (8.0.1) because you fear compatibility issues, that’s fine but there won’t be any future support (as in bugfixes) for the v6 iteration.

I disabled the layers one after the other in the PCB layout visibility list and found out that the silk screen layers are named F.Fab and B.Fab. Does this make sense?

On a windows machine I installed the 8.01 version and no silkskreen layers either, but F.Fab and B.Fab which I suspect to be the those.

Nope. You should have F.Silkscreen and B.Silkscreen

You have these layers turned off in Board Setup, turning them off there, will hide them from Plot

Make a small test PCB with few footprints and post it here.
I’m still in V7 but I’m sure there will be someone who will be interested to see this phenomenon.

Why didn’t I pay attention to your post earlier? This exactly was the problem.

Thanks for the hint, and sorry for the inconvenience to all who replied later.
