Placing devices repeatedly

When I e.g. add a resistor I click on. the “choose symbol” icon (little opamp on the right side of the schematic, choose filter R and click on R in the device section. Now I can drop, possible rotate the resistor and put it over an existing wire to place it inbetween the wire.

But at this moment the resistor has disappear from the cursor.

How can I make it stay there allowing me to drop a resistor multiply?

Select the ‘Place repeated copies’ checkbox at the bottom of the symbol chooser:

…or place it once and then duplicate it for more copies (hover mouse cursor over the recently placed component and press Ctrl+D).
