Having a problem creating a copper land when editing a footprint, tried several ways and viewed YouTube videos. but most show copper fill for the board.
The copper land is beneath the component and is common to two pins.
Is there a simple example out there?
It’s just another pin (SMD pad) on the footprint.
There are a variety of examples in the standard Package_TO_SOT_SMD library: SOT-89-5, LFPAK33, etc. Some use multiple SMD pads with the same pin number, while others use custom pad shapes.
So how do you create a copper land referenced to the adjacent pin?
Give it to the same PIN number.
