Hi All
I’ve just started a new project, but in PCB editor my worksheet is coloured pink???
I am obviously missing something as this has not happened before and I have started many a project while learning KiCAD.
Thanks for any help.

I checked / verified your color with mine, and they are both #C872AB, so it’s not something you changed. I don’t care much about color, and had to verify with older screenshots on this forum that it used to be a darker reddish taint.
In some previous version of the PCB editor it was dark red. Sometimes I noticed that my board wasn’t centered on the sheet. Now that it’s a brighter colour it’s clearer if it’s centered. But in fact centering was and still is a non-issue because it has no effect on production files, I rarely print my layouts, and even when I do, by default the drawing sheet is omitted from layout printouts, unlike the schematic printouts.
If the pink bothers you, you can create your own worksheet template with a different colour.
I have checked my original worksheet and it is this.
In the worksheet editor it’s rendered as black, but when you edit the properties there’s a colour picker for the objects. Not sure why the editor doesn’t show it as it will render.
You do have to admit, though, it is a pretty pink.
To change the worksheet color:
Preferences > PCB Editor > Colors.
Up the top centre left is “Theme” with a box that reads “Kicad Default” or “Kicad Classic”. At the RH end of the box is a triangle: click this triangle.
A window listing some themes will open.
At the bottom of this window is “New Theme…”
Before you click “New Theme…” an explanation.
If you select and install a theme from the Plugin and Content Manager, or select another existing theme in the list, all the colors will change to the selected theme.
If however, you select “New theme…” whatever theme you are currently using will form the basis for your new theme.
So, if you are happy with the majority of the colors in any theme, open that theme then click “New Theme…” and name your new theme.
You will have exactly the same theme as previously, but now, because you have copied and renamed the original theme, your copy can can now be edited (the originals are all read only).
Now simply scroll down the list of colors until you find Drawing Sheet, click on the pretty pink rectangle and change the color to whatever you desire using either the Color Picker or Defined Colors tabs in the newly opened Color Picker window.
Click the OK buttons to get out of these windows and the job is done.
Thanks jmk well explained.
