Trying to create a new pentode symbol in Kicad 7.06. Got it almost working. All my connection pins BUT one doesn’t connect. How do I get the one that doesn’t connect to work? If I copy one from a working one, or move a working one to a new location in the symbol. It doesn’t work.
Please help me, I’m a retired person working on this for a week.

I notice pin 8 isn’t landing on a grid point, and from what I understand it must.
Yep, pin 8 is definitely off-grid, and it seems that pin 3 and pin 7 are as well.
Always stick to the default grid! (0.05"/1.27 mm)
Only switch to a finer grid when doing detailed graphics, and make sure you switch back to default before continuing.
