Hello everyone,

I use Kicad now since 2014 and I need to know if it’s possible to create special footprint.
I would like to put our logo in footprint (to have gold effect on the pcb :wink: ).
Also I need to create a foot print in the form of an arc of a circle (
thickness 5mm and diam ext 40mm.

I know it’s possible to import DXF for the form of the PCB, do you know if it’s possible for footprint ?
Now I can do only full circle or full rectangle like footprint.

(PS: do you know if it’s possible to draw curve layer ? )

svg2mod is another alternative.

Hi, it’s me again.

i tried to change the document after conversion. (.kicad_mod)
I replaced all the lines with (F.Mask) by (layers F.Cu F.Paste F.Mask)
like a normal footprint

When I try to charge in the library I can’t open this. It say “INVALID” in the library loader on the statut.

Do you have any Idea ? Maybe it"s because of the design rule ?

Which method are you using? Can you attach the files?

I would like to say thank you :). Finally I used only the converteur tool and it’s enough :slight_smile:
