PCBNew routing SMD component pads on bottom plane

I’m routing a board with 2 layers. I placed a through hole 2 x 3 connector and a USON-20 on bottom place. But I failed to connect their pads. I’m using V4.0.7, since this version is default on my OS (Manjaro Linux).

When I use the trace for bottom layer, connection is not made. Surprisingly, the pads are connected when I use front side trace(red one). From footprint info window, I clearly see that the USON component is on bottom layer. But it seems PCBNew assume it’s on front plane.

How could I fix this bug?

Must be user error…

What color do the pads of the USON footprint have?

Did you start with a schematic (i.e. got a netlist)?

What happens when you select the USON footprint and hit [F] and then try to connect them on the bottom layer?

Do you have a screenshot of your layer setup - right hand color/layer overview…
