Hey there! Has anybody an idea if I can assign a hotkey to a specific configuration of the selection filter? Like for example Ctrl + 1 = all items and Ctrl + 2 = only footprints. Is there maybe a plugin or some other way to do this? Or maybe something like the Ctrl + Tab for the layer presets?

directly integrated into kicad: no - but sounds like a reasonable idea.
Interestingly there is no open feature request for this idea.
If you write up a feature request on Gitlab for this I would happily give it a “thumbs up” for support, this is something that I’ve been missing from my time with PADS but never remembered while writing up issues.
