Somebody was having a similar problem last time, I post him my configuration folder and it help him get up an running, you could try that.

I just packed my user settings for KiCAD v5.1.5-3 (Help->About KiCAD) if you want to give them a try, just unpack them in your %APP_DATA%/kicad directory. kicad_v5_1_5-3_Fallback.zip (19.4 KB)
