Pcb renders incorrectly when opened from the project folder

Got a weird bug that I don’t know how to get around.
The PCB in the PCB editor when opened from the project folder looks like this:

The only things rendered are ratlines and some stuff added by hand (a couple of silkscreen lines and some copper polygons).

When I open the same file in stand-alone (copy it to a different folder) it looks just fine.

This would happen if you open a 9.0 project in 8.0.8 or older.

Delete the .kicad_prl file or just enable visibility for the items in Appearance panel → Objects tab.

Thanks, it worked.

It was a 8 project, but I worked on it in 9 for a while and it was fine until some point in time.
