Any help is much appreciated on how to to resolve this issue that happened after a power failure. I was able to open the board in the morning and then the power failure occurred. I am no longer able to edit the board on the version 6.0.10. the error : Error loading PCB … Maximum line length exceeded . The program becomes unresponsive and has to be ended with the task manager.

I figured it out the directory has an appropriately named projectname-backups and sure enough i found the pcb file of the preceding day. that saved my day and more
By default, KiCad should make backups that you can use to rescue the most recent version. They should be in a directory with your original files, with the suffix ‘-backup’
If you have disabled backups (bad plan!), the KiCad files are simple text format - might be worth opening your stuck file with a text editor and see if there is anything obviously corrupted.
