PCB Edge clearance

Hi,

where I can set the Minimum clearance from PCB edge to copper as per th manufacturer’s rule in pcbnew?

Thanks.

I think currently there is no way for an automatic check.
I use graphic lines on the margin layer to signal my outermost copper placement. (And check it myself.)

Copper fill zones use their clearance settings relative to the edge cuts graphics.

The thickness of the edge cuts layer effects the setback of copper fill zones.
This gives you a workaround to adjust additional clearance for the edge of the pcb (or any cutouts) if you desire vs. any clearance to other things, esp copper… just adjust the line width of the edge cuts (which admittedly might not look nice if it get’s too thick - but yeah, it’s not a solution, just a workaround).

I’m also interested about this. Any better solutions in the meantime?

If the solution above (edge cut line thickness) isn’t enough for you, you can create keepout zones on the edges.

In the future (6.0, or now in the nightly builds which are unstable and incompatible with the stable) you can set the outline clearance for the whole board.
