PCB antenna - cant route

I’ve inherited a colleagues project (Eagle CAD package) that uses a PCB antenna - two feed points on different layers, joined by a via in the center. The design works and I’ve been asked to copy it into a KiCAD project.

We’ve imported the antenna and saved it into my libraries. It has two pads on the feed points

Whilst the nets match, i cannot route to the pads.

What do i need to change to allow tracks to connect to the antenna footprint?

Make sure the footprint is set as a net tie (Net Tie Pad Groups in footprint properties in the footprint editor should have a group containing pads 1 and 2)
