If the schematic editor is open, and I click a component in layout program freezes for 5 seconds or more.
If I close the schematic editor there is no delay.
It is almost like the communication between the schematic and layout editor is the issue.
I did not experience this in prior versions of kicad, I recently upgraded from version 6.
Going to need a lot more info.
Post KiCad version (Help / About KiCad), machine hardware specs?
Is this occurring on all projects upgraded from 6 to the version you are on now? If you create a new project from scratch does it also happen?
