Hi! Opening up Footprint Editor in Nightly delays for about 6 seconds, how can I solve this? I had no probs before when using the stable release.

I guess it has something to do with my gfx card/drivers…

If you think this could be some sort of regression bug head over to the bugtracker list, get an account and provide feedback to the devs.

I’m using Windows 7.

For me, opening for the first time takes a second or two. A few seconds sounds like an attempt to open a missing file. Do you have a valid symbol library?

Yes, my libraries are valid. I used Process Monitor to peak what kicad.exe does while the Footprint Editor freezes for seconds: https://puu.sh/sToAV/d0721de435.png It seems to to gfx related, maybe loading OpenGL drivers? But what did the developers of the nightly change about that, in comparision to the stable release, where I had no issues?
