Odd View of footprint when selected (in PCB)

I have a footprint either I generated some time ago or I found someone who had (don’t recall).

My question is:
When I select the component in PCB purple lines appear from each pad to the footprint origin.

There doesn’t seem to be a functional issue but I don’t recall ever seeing this.

However I have not yet run DRC as the board is not fully laid out.

It does not look like the lines are coming form the pads, but to me it looks like they are coming from the text strings. These are quite normal, For example the RefDes and Value fields also show these lines so you can keep track of which footprint they belong to when you move them.

Thanks Paul,

I’ll have to look further as these should not be able to move. They should be the equivalent of the small “R1” in your example.
