Octopart Common Parts Library Repo

The folks at Octopart announced the Common Parts Library a few months back, a joint effort with a couple other companies to define a set of 300ish parts that could define a well rounded setup of maker components. This makes it easy for beginners to find new components to use. Now there is a KiCad repo for footprints that is accepting pull requests: https://github.com/octopart/CPL-KiCad-Library

I always recommend that people recheck any footprint coming from a community library but this could be interesting for users.

Are these for schematics libraries, module libraries or new .pretty repositories?

Tried to issue a pull request… couldn’t figure it out… sent email instead letting them know I’ve got time I can dedicate to helping this out. I’ll let you guys know how it goes.
